The Proposal System

Reading a Card

Contents

Each proposal is shown as an expandable card. The card is clearly structured—this section explains what you find where.

Structure of an expanded proposal card, from top to bottom.

The Card Header

The header is always visible—even when the card is collapsed.

Element Meaning
Color stripe On the left edge in the status color: blue = Pending, orange = Revision Requested, red = Rejected, gray = Superseded (for Executed, there’s no stripe)
Title Descriptive title of the proposal, assigned by the AI
Status The current status as a colored label, for example, Pending or Executed (green)
Number of changes How many individual steps the proposal contains, for example, “3 changes”
Creation time When the proposal was created, relative (for example, “2 hr. ago”) or, for older ones, as a date

The Revision Chain

If the proposal replaces an older one or has itself been replaced, the Revision Chain section appears at the very top, with links to the previous or following version. Details are in the chapter Revision Chains & Lifecycle.

The Changes

The Changes section shows you compactly what would change—grouped by the place where the change happens (such as area, folder, project, milestone, or Inbox). If the proposal creates a new project, milestone, or folder, it gets its own group with the label NEW.

Each line stands for one individual change and has a marker:

Marker Meaning
+ Something new is created
− Something is deleted
→ Something is moved (with its origin, “from …”)
✎ Something is changed or renamed

For changes to existing items, you also see the specific field differences, for example, Status: Active → Completed or Due: 3/31. Changes that affect areas, tags, views, or view folders and have no parent location appear in the collective group Other Changes at the end of the list.

For open proposals, each line has a checkbox that lets you select or deselect individual changes; at the top right of the list, “Selected: N of M” shows the current state and toggles all lines at once. You can adjust titles and some values right in the line. More on this in the chapter Controlling & Fine-Tuning.

After approval, each line shows its result: Executed (for newly created items, with a link to the item), Failed with an error message, Skipped (not selected), or Already executed.

The Rationale

Below the changes, the AI explains in free text why it proposes these changes. Read the rationale when you want to understand the context or follow how the AI arrived at this plan.

The Conversation

The Conversation section is a chat between the AI and you. You can ask questions there or give feedback without approving or rejecting right away. More on this in the chapter Discussing with the AI.

The Action Bar

At the very bottom—only for open proposals—are the buttons for your decision. The chapter Approve · Reject · Revise explains exactly which ones appear and what they do.
